Lucy's Outdoor Newborn Session
Luckily it was a very nice spring evening here in Irvine. The sky was clear. The weather was warm with a very slight breeze. The park was empty, not a single person in sight. We were surrounded by the beautiful green hills. The honey colored grasses and the yellow wild flowers blowing ever so subtly in the breeze. The sun was perfectly golden, as it was setting behind the hillside. The sound of the chirping birds and chattering squirrels created such a calming atmosphere.
While, all of these elements, as beautiful and magical as they are can pose a challenge for a newborn session. Creating a cozy atmosphere for a sleeping baby is difficult outdoors. The bright light, the change in noises and weather does not create the ideal sleeping environment for a brand new baby. Although baby Lucy wasn’t in the mood to sleep, we captured some absolutely amazing and timeless moments of this new family of four. Lucy’s older brother, Ray was such a doll. I presented him the best toddler of the year award, which elicited the biggest smile. We made the photo shoot fun with a lot of activities like running, jumping, being tickled and entertained by daddy. His favorite activity by far was holding his baby sister. Capturing these sweet and pure moments was the highlight of this shoot for me.
