Lily Jane Newborn Session

The sweet sounds of the guitar hummed through the house. She laid there quietly listening. Listening to her daddy picking the strings of his most prized possession. The guitar he spent countless hours crafting. Molding a block of wood into a gorgeous guitar body. Stringing every guitar string into place. His most prized possession because this was the very first guitar he ever built completely from scratch. Igniting his life long passion for hand crafting custom guitars.

Capturing this sweet moment 18 months earlier for her older brother Dean, imprinted goosebumps on my arms. Still to this day, it is one of my favorite moments from a newborn session. Still amazes me I had the privilege of capturing these memories for this sweet family. When Megan reached out to me again a few weeks ago, asking if I could take photos of their newest addition, baby Lily, I was overjoyed. I was going to get to capture this raw moment again. This time, of a daddy serenating his daughter with those sweet hums for the first time. A type of moment that inspires me. Melts my heart kind of moment. This is one of my favorite parts of my job, capturing memories that a family can look back on and reminisce over.
