Noah's In-Home Newborn Session
It was really exciting when Sara reached out to schedule a Newborn Session. I had previously shot her extended family photos near the train station in downtown Fullerton. The interesting architecture of the area provided a backdrop for some fantastic photos. Sara and Christian were newly engaged at this time, so it was wonderful to return and now get to shoot them as a newly married couple welcoming their first child.
We started the session with some family photos by the couch. We utilized the natural lighting streaming in through their big window in the living room. Noah was wide awake and fully engaged. Luckily he was happy throughout the shoot despite being obviously tired. He was fighting sleep with everything he had.
Individual newborn photos are best taken when the baby is asleep. Noah was already halfway there so Sara took a time out to feed and rock him. During this time I am still capturing the moments of motherhood. I snapped some really sweet shots as she was rocking him. Finally in the last moments of the shoot, Sara accomplished her goal and we placed him within the blankets arranged on the bed. We ended up with some stunning images for her family to cherish for a lifetime.
