Baby Myla's Newborn Session

Bobbie, a new mama of three, informed me during our pre-session consultation that her older children were a little camera shy. I walked into this session knowing that I was going to need to bring my “A” game. This photo session required that I use all my tricks to engage these beautiful but reserved children.  

I started off the shoot with the kids jumping on the bed to break the ice and make a game out of taking photos. This helped warm them up and I got some great shots of them playing with each other, giving high fives and even some hugs. Once the kids were having fun, I brought in the family. 

Baby Myla, just three weeks old, was wide awake the entire time despite our efforts to soothe her to sleep. She was just too interested in what was going on. Luckily she was extremely content and happy so we were able to capture some amazing shots of the family. I very much enjoyed working with this family and the children were so fun to work with.
