Angelina & Nico's Maternity Session

This photography session was a lesson in love and passion.

Angelina is a long time friend who I have not seen in many years. She and Nico just celebrated their first wedding anniversary and are expecting their first child, a little girl. Capturing the love between these two was easy and required little direction. Because I was so inspired and energized, I found myself trying new angles and poses focusing on the intimacy in the small details.

The setting was Irvine Regional Park in a small nook boarded by several walking paths. The lighting was perfect. The sun was slightly tucked away behind the hills creating an evenly shaded scenery. As the sun was setting, the sky was illuminated with oranges and reds. This session included two outfit changes. The first outfit was a stunning white lace, see through gown that was a beautiful contrast to Nico's miltary uniform. I feel so honored that their session happened to fall on Veteran's Day. What a treat. The second outfit was a casual jean outfit with a sexy flare. The couple brought a personalized onesie and the cutest pink baby booties. As always, I enjoy working the client's personal touches into the sessions.

There are some photoshoots where you learn a lot. This shoot was one of those. So thank you Nico and Angelina for choosing me. As much as you are receiving a gallery of memories, I am receiving a new perspective on capturing love and passion.
